Veterinary Technology Program relaunches pet adoption

Two dogs from the Cosumnes River College pet adoption. Vaquita (left) and Archie (right) are still available to adopt from the CRC Veterinary Technology program.

The Veterinary Technology Program hosted their first pet adoption since the beginning of the pandemic, with two dogs remaining.

This year seven dogs and eight cats were up for adoption. So far, all eight cats have found homes but two dogs, Archie and Vaquita, are still up for adoption.

Students struggle as gas prices surge

Library introduces appointment system for in-person visits

The CRC Library has implemented an appointment system for student use to ensure students are following Covid-19 guidelines. Appointments can be made online through the CRC Student Appointment Center.

Thinking about visiting the campus library? You’ll need an appointment, but same-day appointments can be made at the library’s front desk.

The library is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Women’s swim team determined to make it to state championship this season

The Cosumnes River College women’s swim team competed in their first in-person meet of the season on Feb. 12, marking their first traditional meet since the beginning of the pandemic.

COVID-19 shutdowns meant that the team lost valuable water time in the pool, according to Head Coach Liz Zenuk. Additionally, the Summer Swim Program, which offered recruiting and job opportunities for swimmers, came to a halt due to the virus presenting even more challenges for the swim team.
